Girl Scout Take Action projects address an issue by tackling the factors that cause or contribute to it. The program was designed to provide economical, hands-on activities to enhance the girls' experience and also to make your time as a volunteer enjoyable and stress-free. They planned the camping trip, from stocking the first aid kit, to making mess kits, to packing lists, to meal plans. We read pages 120-129 in the girl book and brainstormed ideas for the Take Action project. Select a women's issue (page 9 of the girl's book may give you some ideas) you can act on locally. We discussed a few ideas for a take action project. Events for Service Units and resources for Girl Scout volunteers. I chose a girl scout campsite with heated cabins and a kitchen.
